Butlin's have managed my flat for many years and have always done so very well. With the changes in fire regulations, we needed several certificates for refinancing. This became extremely challenging after a certain fire company carried out fraudulent inspections, which none of the Lenders accepted. Nick, the property manager, took all of this in his stride, from applying to the Tribunal for a cost order to coordinating the re-application process and arranging the necessary surveys again. It was a very complex and stressful situation, but he handled it with great professionalism, despite its difficulties. There are plenty of agents out there who do the bare minimum and don’t always act in the best interests of leaseholders. Despite my initial apprehensions at the beginning, I have to say I have been very impressed with how Nick and the team navigated such a difficult ordeal, all while continuing to manage a large block of flats effectively. I do believe many other Agents would have left Leaseholders out to dry. Hats off to Nick and the whole team for all their work. Imagine my surprise when Butlin, our new building managers, showed up and, in a situation where they could have acted very differently, immediately treated me like a grown up. I was honestly lost for words.
